Biography

Sydney Remaily is the Managing Attorney at The Hopkins Law Firm and a dedicated advocate for the clients and families she represents. Since joining the firm in 2019, Sydney has built an accomplished legal career, bringing both extensive legal knowledge and a genuine passion for helping clients navigate some of life's most challenging moments with clarity, compassion, and tenacity.

While pursuing her J.D., she worked as a paralegal at The Hopkins Law Firm, immersing herself in the day-to-day realities of family law practice and developing a deep, hands-on command of litigation procedure, case strategy, and client advocacy. Following her graduation, she joined the firm as an Associate Attorney before advancing to her current role as Managing Attorney, a progression reflective of her years of dedication to the firm, its attorneys, and the clients she serves.

As Managing Attorney, Sydney oversees the firm's caseload, collaborating closely with the firm's attorneys and staff to ensure every client receives thoughtful, high-quality representation. She is a strong litigator who fiercely advocates for clients in the courtroom, and she brings the same skill and tenacity to negotiating settlements and resolutions that protect her clients' interests while minimizing the stress and cost of prolonged legal proceedings. She is highly adept in legal research and the drafting of persuasive pleadings and complex legal documents. Equally committed to client service, Sydney ensures that every client feels informed, supported, and confidently represented throughout the legal process. Clients appreciate her ability to break down complex legal issues and translate them into clear, actionable guidance and support.

Sydney was drawn to family law because, at its core, it is about people: protecting them, advocating for them, and helping them move forward. That desire to make a tangible difference in people's lives is the driving force behind everything she does in her practice.

She also has a strong passion for equine law, grounded in her extensive background within the equine community. Her experience spans years of hands-on work with horses, beginning with recreational riding and advancing to competitive participation at the collegiate level. Through this involvement, she developed a comprehensive understanding of horse care, training, and industry practices, along with a deep appreciation for horsemanship, discipline, and the unique bond between horse and rider.

This combination of practical insight and personal dedication allows her to effectively understand and skillfully address the legal needs of equine professionals and owners. Driven by this passion, Sydney spearheaded The Hopkins Law Firm’s expansion into the

practice of equine law, positioning the firm to better serve clients within this specialized and evolving field.

Originally from Philadelphia, Sydney fell in love with the DMV area and made it her home. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her Olde English Bulldog, Patsy, exploring local parks and trails, and catching up on her favorite true crime podcasts.
