Aimee (“I-MAY”) Rodriguez joined The Hopkins Law Firm in 2025 and focuses her practice on family law matters throughout northern Virginia. She represents clients in divorce, property division, custody, support, and related domestic relations proceedings that are often as emotionally demanding as they are legally complex. Aimee approaches each matter with patience and precision, making sure clients have a clear picture of where they stand, what their options are, and what to expect as their case moves forward. She prioritizes consistent, high-quality client care above all else, and clients consistently value her dedication, attentiveness, and focus throughout the legal process.
At The Hopkins Law Firm, Aimee handles all phases of litigation. Her work includes drafting clear and persuasive pleadings, overseeing discovery, developing case strategy, preparing dispositive motions, and advocating on behalf of her clients in court. With strong research and writing skills and a practical, solutions-oriented approach, she focuses on building thoughtful, well-supported cases and positioning her clients for the best possible outcomes.
Aimee’s background includes a strong foundation in trial advocacy. As a student caseworker for the Advanced Administrative Litigation Clinic at , she managed federal Black Lung Benefits Act claims and drafted briefs for submission to Administrative Law Judges, the Benefits Review Board, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Her work contributed to a conclusive success in a matter before the Third Circuit, in which the Court affirmed an award of benefits to the surviving spouse of a disabled coal miner. She also externed with the United States Department of Labor Office of Administrative Law Judges in Newport News, where she drafted administrative decisions and observed hearings under the Longshore and Defense Base Act. After graduating from law school, she joined Kalbaugh, Pfund & Messersmith, P.C. as an Associate Attorney, where she managed the defense of civil litigation matters in Virginia General District and Circuit Courts, handling cases involving premises liability, negligence, and motor vehicle torts.
A Virginia native, Aimee returned to the Commonwealth after time in South Carolina and is committed to serving clients in her home state. Outside the office, she enjoys exploring museums throughout the D.C. area, drawing, playing video games, and spending time with her tortoiseshell cats, Naomi and Natalie.
